Ruby Irene Parkhurst

Ruby Irene Parkhurst, a resident of Dustin, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 in Tulsa at the age of 77. She was born October 25, 1932 in Deritter, Louisiana to Joseph Thompson and Carrie (Goins) Thompson. She was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene in Oklahoma City. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Carrie Thompson, by her husband, Wesley E. Parkhurst Sr., brothers, Robert Lee Thompson, Joseph T. Thompson, Charlie Thompson, and by her sisters, Hazel Foreman, and Marie Barbee. She is survived by two children, Dr. Wesley E. Parkhurst Jr. & wife Amelia of Dustin, Gloria J. Hicks & husband Louis of Okmulgee, Eleven grandchildren, Billy C. Beets Jr. MD & wife Sharon of Bixby, Kimberlee Jenkins & husband Ronnie of Hitchita, Laurie Jean Hurst & husband Jerry of Bristow, Ella England & husband Brandon of Okmulgee, Joseph Hicks & wife Nicole of Wilson, Leah Adams & husband Mike of Checotah, Justin Hicks of Okmulgee, Wesley Eugene Parkhurst III of Dustin, Sally Ann Parkhurst of Dustin, Joshua Parkhurst of Albuquerque, NM, and Rachael Rebecca Parkhurst of Carthage, Mississippi, 20 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Billy C. Beets Jr. MD, Joseph Hicks, Justin Hicks, Wesley Eugene Parkhurst III., Joshua Parkhurst, and Tyler Jenkins. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the chapel of Little Cemetery in Seminole. Interment will follow in Little Cemetery in Seminole under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
