Sally Evelyn Pollard

Sally Evelyn Pollard, a resident of Dewar, Oklahoma, was born October 12, 1958 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Arvin McGowin and Virginia Faye Stidman McGowin. Sally passed away, Friday, August 20, 2010 in Dewar at the age of 51. She was a graduate of Dewar High School and a member of the Dewar First Baptist Church. She married Terry Pollard March 1, 1980 in Ft. Smith Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her father Arvin McGowin, 2 nephews, Arvin Lee McGowin II and Token Spears. Sally is survived by her husband Terry of the home in Dewar One son, T.J. Pollard and wife Claudia of Dewar One granddaughter, Gracelind Jo Pollard Her mother, Faye McGowin of Dewar Three sisters, Vickie Szarwinski of Dewar Cathy Strong of Dewar Dana Wells and husband Carl of Dewar Five brothers, Arvin McGowin and wife Faye of Dewar Gary McGowin wife Ann of Dewar Johnnie McGowin of Dewar Jimmy McGowin & wife Renee of Bryant Ronnie McGowin & wife Christy of Dewar Her best friend, Peggy Sallee of Pharoah Also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and other family. Pallbearers will be, Nicholas Pollard, Chad McGowin, Bub Connors, Gary Henry McGowin, Jeremy Shatswell, & Jason Williamson. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Ricky Sturman, Hunter Williamson, Tommy Spears, Robert Todd Strong, Johnnie McGowin II, Ben McGowin, Cole Wells, Chandler Wells, & Chad Hares. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow in Salt Creek Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
