Sammye Marlene Gilliam

Sammye Marlene Gilliam was born on May 5, 1953, to Jack and Lucille Cross in Henryetta Oklahoma. She has two sister Patty Cross and Susan Gaasch and four brothers; George Green, Ira, Johnny and Dennis. In 1957 she was adopted into the Hudson family. Effie and Marlon Hudson where she was raised in Ada Oklahoma. She gave birth to two sons Shane and David. She attended Oak Avenue Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma throughout her childhood where she was raised. Later in her life she met her soulmate Glenn Gilliam, they were married on October 4th, 2003, and they lived in Tulsa Oklahoma. She had Shane from her first marriage and David from her second. She was a loving mother, sister, wife, friend and grandmother.
She left behind a husband, Glenn Gilliam and their dog Mickey, her sons; Shane Lindsey and fiancée Kandice of Yukon Oklahoma, son Davied Marler of Austin Texas and 5 grandchildren Shelby Battiest-Mowdy and husband Jordan of Norman Oklahoma, Dallas, Aubrey, Nathan and Rhett Lindsey of Bentonville, Arkansas and Yukon Oklahoma, sisters Patty Cross of Woodward, Oklahoma, Susan Gaasch of Bristow, Oklahoma and bothers George Green & Ira of Tulsa, Johnny of Woodward, and Dennis of Arkansas as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She loved her whole family and loved spending time with them. Sammye also served along side her husband Glenn in the ministry at Grace Church and Home Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She attended Oak Avenue Baptist growing up in Ada, Oklahoma. On December 19th, 2021, a beautiful angel was called home to be with her mom and dad, her adopted parents and brother, Johnny. She will be missed dearly and will forever be in our hearts.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 3:00PM, Wednesday December 29, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Chapel, 410 East Trudgeon, Henryetta Oklahoma.
