Sandra Lea Cox, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 63. She was born April 4, 1959 in Tulsa, OK to Miles Wesley Sappington & Veda Faye (Park) Sappington.
Sandy was the most loving and generous woman of God. She ran with outlaws and saints and had compassion for people from all walks of life. She was a nurturer by nature, and never met a stranger. She loved to cook and believed that food brought people together. She cooked and ran restaurants most of her life and could always make something out of nothing. Sandy was an angel among us and has touched everyone's life she has met. She was strong beyond measure and loved larger than life. We were blessed to have you as our mom.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and by one brother, Jerry Wayne Sappington.
Sandra is survived by her seven children; Brandy Osborn & husband Darryl of Henryetta, Sammy Joe Schader & husband Kendal of Centerton, Arkansas, Chase Cox & wife Amber of Henryetta, Rickey "Petey" Lynn Jr. & wife Kina of Burns Flat, Oklahoma, Jessica Hardin of California, Lyndsay "Shae" Bohanon of Edmond, and Lucas Lynn of Leedey, Oklahoma, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister, Sherri Williams & husband Ray of Westville, Oklahoma, brother, John Sappington & wife Marla of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, sister, Jodi Smith & husband Michael, brother, Jimmy Mitchell of Springdale, Arkansas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service is in the planning stages by the family and will be posted as the information becomes available.
