Shelma Rose Shaw, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in Norman, OK at the age of 89. She was born August 19, 1924 in Henryetta, OK to Samuel Jackson Henderson & Stella Elizabeth (Copeland).

Shelma was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Henryetta where she served as Sunday School Teacher, Church Pianist and Organist for many years.

Among her many titles, Shelma was a mother, grandmother, office manager and bank teller.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Bill Sowers, and by her second husband, Edwin O. Shaw, and by one brother, Carl Henderson.

Shelma is survived by 4 sons, Kent Sowers & wife Lori of Norman, Alan Sowers & wife Janet of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Tom Shaw of Tulsa, and Jerry Shaw of Vian, 9 grandchildren, Renee Evans, Crystal Michela, Synthia Davis, Valerie Mayes, Justin Sowers, Jenny Sowers, Jill Sowers, Tyler Sowers, and Casey Shelor, 12 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Ramona Sills of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Patricia Henderson of Tulsa, and by a close family friend, Larry Adams of Norman, Oklahoma, as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5-8 on Thursday, July 24, 2014 and from 8am - 8pm on Friday July 25 with the family to greet friends from 6-8 on Friday at Integrity Funeral Service (410 East Trudgeon Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma)

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at The First United Methodist Church in Henryetta with Rev. Kyle Kiner, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
