Mosco, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away in Okmulgee on Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the age of 71. Shirley was born on May 21, 1941 in Gypsy, Oklahoma to Randolph Wood and Elizabeth Hickman Wood. Shirley grew up in the Henryetta and Weleetka areas. She graduated from Weleetka High School in 1958. Just after graduation, Shirley married the love of her life, Johnny Lee Mosco on February 6, 1959 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. They remained happily married for 36 years until Johnny's death in 1995. Shirley began the process of raising her two children but later went to work for Wal Mart in Henryetta. She retired in 1995 after 15 years of faithful service at Wal Mart. Shirley loved to sew, was an avid flower gardener, and enjoyed traveling immensely. She is preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband Johnny Mosco; a sister, Linda Wood; and a brother, Jack Wood. Shirley is survived by her son, Randy Mosco of Henryetta; her daughter, Rebecca Cooper and husband Tommy of Okmulgee; 5 grandchildren, Drew Mosco, Arlo Mosco, Wayne "Trey" Dickey III, Quinton Dickey and Dillon Dickey; 4 great grandchildren, Ashton Mosco, Cameron Mosco, Jacie Mosco, and Kanon Dickey; 1 brother, Harold Wood and wife Sally of Monet, MO; 2 sisters, Helen Sandlin of Henryetta and Pat Reid of Okmulgee; numerous nieces and nephews and many good friends. A funeral service for Shirley will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Shurden Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Cemetery in Okemah under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Eddie Mosco, Drew Mosco, Arlo Mosco, Wayne "Trey" Dickey III, Quinton Dickey and Dillon Dickey. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Cooper and Rex Watson
