Timothy Ray Bear

Timothy "Timmy" Ray Bear, a resident of the Mason Community, passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was born to Ashley and Mary (Leader) Bear on February 28, 1964 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He attended school in Okemah, Oklahoma and worked as a Diesel Mechanic and Heavy Equipment Operator all of his life until he was forced to retire due to health problems. After retirement you could always find Timmy helping a family member or friend out. Anytime someone had a vehicle that was having problems they called Timmy. Timmy enjoyed working on vehicles, fixing different things, making a set of turtles or cans for his nieces or set of ball sticks for his nephews, or just spending time with one of his great nieces or nephews, no project was ever to big for Uncle Timmy. Timmy also loved his ceremonial ground and was always there to help in any way that he could. He was proceeded in death by his mother, brother Jon Bear, and grandfather Barney Leader. Timmy is a member of New Tulsa Ceremonial Ground and is of the Sweet Potato Clan. Survivors include his father, Ashley Bear of the home, grandmother, Liza Leader of Holdenville, three brothers; Daniel "Dude" Bear and wife Melissa of Henryetta, Ashley "Joe" Bear of Muskogee, and Patrick Bear and wife Lisa of Okmulgee, one sister, Lisa Hardy and husband Tony of Sarasota, Florida, sister-in-law, Jessie Bear of Holdenville, 15 nieces, 11 nephews, 7 great nieces, 12 great nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Pallbearers will be Timmy's nephews, Channdon bear, Keith Bear, Robby Bear, Bobby Bear, Rexton Hailey, Anthony "TeeJay" Hardy-Bear, Keylinn Bear, Jonathon Bear, William "Willie" Bear, Daniel "Jake" Bear, and Wesley Bear. Viewing will be from 3-6 pm on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Shurden Chapel (411 W. Division St.). Wake Services will be held on Sunday evening, May 19th from 6-8pm at Shurden Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Shurden Chapel. Interment will follow at Bear Family Cemetery near Hadenville, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
