Tommy Edwin Puckett, a resident of Weleetka, passed away on his home place Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in rural Weleetka, OK at the age of 76. He was born June 26, 1941 on the home place in Weleetka, OK to Lillard Fate Puckett & Byrdene (Staggs) Puckett.
Tommy married the love of his life on August 14, 1961 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They shortly moved to Ajo, Arizona where they lived for 10 years and both of their children were born there.
He was a member of the Weleetka First Baptist Church where he was a deacon.
He was a charter member of the Lions Club in Weleetka.
Tommy was an entrepreneur and owned and operated many different companies, however Ranching and working his cows was particularly a passion of his. He also had a passion for cars and was an extraordinary mechanic. His greatest passion was his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lillard and Byrdene Puckett, his father-in-law, Jack Clevenger, mother-in-law, Ruby Clevenger, brother, Bobby Puckett, brother, John Doyle Puckett, brother Joe Henry Puckett, and his sister, Dorothy Jean Puckett Douglas.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 56 years, Leadean Puckett of the home,
daughter, Shelia Leadean Puckett Edwards & husband Mark Allen Edwards of Weleetka,
son, Justin Edwin Puckett of Weleetka,
grandson, Joshua Allen Edwards & wife Amanda of Ada, Oklahoma,
grandson, Lillard Franklin Edwards of Weleetka,
great grandson, Charles Thomas Edwards of Weleetka,
brother Roy Lee Puckett of Weleetka,
sister-in-law, Leaetta Conners of Sedan Kansas,
sister-in-law, Joyce Puckett of Weleetka,
as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 4-8pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services are Scheduled for Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Weleetka First Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Black, officiating and Rev. Dewayne Davis, assisting. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Puckett, Mark Wynne, Michael Wynne, Jeffery Wynne, Delbert Smith, and Dan Threlkeld. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Quinton, David Reynolds, and Pat Crawley.
