Tony Harold Edwards

July 25, 1957 — November 1, 2018

Tony Harold Edwards, born July 25, 1957 to Charles Anthony Edwards and Gloria Oneta Shatswell Edwards in Henryetta, Oklahoma.

He was the 4th of 6 boys, Rocky, Morgan "Joe", JImmy, Eddie and Mark and 20 years after Mark came Kimberly, the only girl of 7 children. Tony played big part with raising her, all the boys did. Tony would buy her baby dolls so she would take her medicine. The 5 boys had her spoiled rotten.
He, like the rest of the boys followed in their dad's footsteps mill wrighting off and on through the 70s and 80s.

He had one son, Anthony Wayne Edwards with Lesa Ann Pope in 1983.

Tony had a love for children and they absolutely loved "Uncle Tony". He had a love for rooster fighting and he handled roosters for around 20 years with his ole buddy Gary Ellig.
He also enjoyed fishing. No matter who went with, Tony always out-fished them. He was also in to deer hunting, but fishing was his life. All through the 80s and 90s, the entire family (minus Joe, he was in LA) would go camping for a week or 2 or maybe just the weekends.

If Tony wasn't fishing, he was pestering. He would prank the kids, have roman candle fights, dunk the kids in the creek, and he was always down for a game of kick the can. He was a big kid at heart.

After the death of his parents in 97 & 98 Tony eventually relocated to Arkansas where he worked for a few years in a lumber yard. After the closing of the company he returned to Weleetka, OK for the remainder of his life.

He kept his fisherman ways. He would camp with his son as often as he could before his health started getting bad. He remained in very extreme close contact with his sister, Kimberly and had a big hand in the upbringing of her three kids, Devin, DJ, and Charlie. Kimberly was his baby girl until little miss Charlie Davis was born.

Tony had 5 grandchildren from his son, Anthony, Jonathan, Ericka, Laryssa, Tabor and Samuel.
He was a proud grandpa and talked about them often.

Tony lived the last years of his life on his home-place, exactly what he wanted.
He was the crazy uncle, the "Fire Walker", the rooster fighter, spoiled rotten and a mama's boy.
He was the fighter of the family and he had a mean left hook!

He was far from perfect bu he was most definitely loved and will be missed by us all.

Now he can fish right next to his dog, Hercules.
