Trudi McKay

Trudi McKay, born on January 25, 1945, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who filled the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She departed from this world on July 14, 2024, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, leaving behind a legacy of love.

Trudi's life was marked by love and family. She married the love of her life, Tom McKay, on December 18, 1961, in Henryetta. Together they raised four sons who meant the world to them. Trudi was known as a skilled disciplinary technician by her boys during their upbringing, instilling values that shaped them into the men they are today.

Her faith played a significant role in her life, she was Pentecostal through and through. Trudi had a passion for nature; she adored her cats and found joy in planting flowers. Her culinary skills were exceptional, and she delighted in cooking delicious meals to share with friends and local businesses in the community.

Trudi is survived by her four sons: Mike McKay & wife Ladonna of Eufaula; Andy McKay & wife Pam of Pensacola, Oklahoma; Brad McKay of Checotah; Greg McKay & wife Christina of Checotah. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Jody McKay & husband Eric Donoley, Tim McKay & wife Anna, Ben McKay, Sam McKay, Heather McNatt, Brandon Long, Jeff McKay, Kristina Cox & husband Jerry, Jessica Gawf, and Mason Gawf; as well as a host of great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.

In her passing, Trudi is reunited with her beloved husband Tom McKay, and her parents Pearl Eldon and Pearl Ellen Norman. She joins five siblings: Jerry Norman, Bob Norman, Eldon Norman, Gladys Clark, and Ruth Clark in eternity.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Trudi's life will be held on July 19th at Pierce Cemetery in Pierce, Oklahoma. The service will commence at 11:00 AM with family and friends gathering to bid farewell to a remarkable woman whose love and light will forever remain in our hearts.

Pallbearers will be Tim McKay, Sam McKay, Jeff McKay, Ben McKay, Mason Gawf, Jerry Cox, and Eric Donoley.

Services have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service.
