Tyree Joel Bracy, affectionately known as TJ, was born on November 1, 1977, in Fontana, California and passed unexpectedly but peacefully on July 2, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 45.
Tyree was the youngest child of Tyrone Joseph Bracy and Helen Joann Melton. His siblings are Tharion Bracy, twin brother Tyson Bracy, LaJuene McGoldrick and Daryl Theus. He was the proud father of two daughters, Taylynn and Mariah Bracy, and a grandfather.
Tyree was a loving and devoted family man, known for his jovial nature, warm heart, and thoughtful demeanor and was a man of simple pleasures. He had an affinity for white T-shirts, clean shoes, and his trademark hat, affectionately referred to as his "banger." He had a knack for making the ordinary extraordinary, and his presence was always a source of joy and laughter for those around him.
Education was important to Tyree. He graduated from Sequoia High School in 1996 and furthered his education at Oklahoma State University. His dedication to learning and personal growth was a testament to his character and his commitment to providing for his family.
Tyree had a long and fulfilling career working under his older brother, Tharion, at Bracy Electrical Services for 17 years. His work ethic and dedication were unmatched, and his contributions to the company were invaluable. His colleagues admired him for his professionalism and his ability to bring laughter and light to the workplace.
In his leisure time, Tyree enjoyed every moment he could spend with his family in Okmulgee. He had a deep love for music and could often be found sitting for hours, listening to his favorite music on repeat. However, his ultimate passion was basketball. Whether he was playing the game himself or cheering on his favorite team the Lakers, basketball brought joy and excitement to his life.
Tyree's life was characterized by love, laughter, and thoughtfulness. He had a special ability to make everyone around him feel loved and cherished. His sense of humor was infectious, and his thoughtful nature made him a beacon of light in the lives of many. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Tyree will be remembered for his radiant smile, his zest for life, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy will continue to inspire and guide those he has left behind. His memory will forever be a source of comfort and strength to those who loved him. He shared the last seven wonderful years with his loving partner as he would say was the love of his life, Nyiba. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
