Velma Louise Brown

Velma Louise Brown, a resident of Tiger Mountain, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at the age of 79 years. She was born on May 14, 1932 in McAllen, Texas to Harley Jackson Lowry and Flora Whitson Lowry. Velma was preceded in death by her husband, James Brown, Sr.; her son, Harley Joe Brown; by her parents, Jack and Flora Lowery; by her brothers Carl L Lowery, Donald Lowery, and Balford Lowery; by her sisters, Jewel Eoff, Bay Hilton, Bernice Standridge, Beatrice Fowler, and Lois Moore. She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie Duran of Phoenix, AZ. Betty Davis of Westville, OK; A daughter, Donna Brand and husband Al of Henryetta; A son, Pudge Brown of Tiger Mountain, OK; A daughter, Becki and Mickey Robertson of Henryetta; Also by her grandchildren, Tim and Trish Davenport of Bixby, OK, LeAnn Petit of Kiefer, OK, Jeremy and Jennifer Wade of Sand Springs, OK, Bo Brown of Henryetta, Ray and Jailine Johnson of Henryetta, JP Shepherd of Weleetka, OK, Bill and Kristi Cook of Okmulgee, Shelly Thompson of Tiger Mountain, Jill Robertson of Henryetta, Ashley Robertson of Henryetta; by a daughter-in-law, Jan Brown of Henryetta; 24 great grandchildren and many good friends. Pallbearers will be, Dave Ingram, Joe Corkerin, Darryl Nation, Randy Bullard, Curt Russell, & Harold Henderson. Viewing and visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday and 8am to 12 noon on Friday at Integrity Funeral Service. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Dewar with Rev. Jack Vance officiating, assisted by Rev. Casey McIntosh. Interment will follow at New Sonora Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
