Vern Nelson "Butch" Turner,II., a resident of Dewar, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 in Oklahoma City at the age of 65. He was born October 23, 1951 in Waterville, Maine to Vern Nelson Turner, Sr. and Pauline B. (Reddick) Turner.
Butch was a graduate of Dewar High School class of 1969. He married Brenda Taber May 25, 1969 at the Dewar First Baptist Church. He was a Carpenter Contractor by trade and had worked and help many, many people in the Dewar Community and surrounding areas with his carpentry skills. Butch was loved by many and his infectious, ornery smile will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Buddy & Brad Turner, his parents, Vern & Pauline (Reddick) Turner, a sister, Tina Ann Bibby, a nephew, Jason Bibby, his father-in-law & mother-in-law Troy & Mary Taber, a sister-in-law, Diane Taber.
Butch is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home;
A daughter, Detriech Turner of Dewar;
A sister, Paula Denny & husband J. B. of Forsythe, Missouri;
Four Brother's-in-law, Jerry Taber & wife Judy of Dewar:
Rick Taber & wife Pam of Newalla;
Stony Taber of Okmulgee;
Jerry Bibby of Beggs;
Also by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Viewing will begin on Saturday, July 22nd from 5 - 8 pm and Sunday from Noon until 8pm.
Pallbearers will be, Jackie Reddick, David Reddick, Eric Reddick, Geno Reddick, Michael Hammack, Cass Taber, Marcus Radunzel, & John Melton. Honorary pallbearers will be Bert Durbin, Jack Francis, Tom Watkins, James Cox, Don Witt, Dee Taber, & Herbert Ray Humphreys.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 24th, 2017 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.
