He was born to Charlie James and Donna (Hoyle) James on March 26th, 1959 in Dumas, Texas. He was married on January 28, 1979 in Casper, Wyoming to Teresa Nye. Vernon is survived by his wife, Teresa James of the home; 2 sons, Charlie James & wife Gina of the home, and Cody James of Holdenville, grandson, Kyler James of Henryetta, and granddaughter, Kayla Jams of the home, his father, Charlie James of Amarillo, Texas, god-daughter, Heather Bennett of Henryetta, brother, Mike James & wife Billie of Anna, Texas, brother Kelly James & wife Stephanie of Amarillo, Texas, sister, Melody and husband Jay of Amarillo, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm on Tuesday, May 8 at Shurden Funeral Home located at 411 W. Division Street, Henryetta. Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 p.m on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Shurden Chapel (411 W. Division Street) with Rev. Wallace Gambler, officiating. Interment will be private. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
