Wanda Lavon Wailes Ferrero entered the gates of Heaven, Saturday October 24, 2015 at the age of 92. Wanda was born July 15, 1923 to William and Opal Wailes. Wanda graduated from Henryetta High School. She was a telephone operator, part time deputy Court Clerk, and homemaker. She was a Sunday School teacher and active member of the Assembly of God Church. Wanda was married 65 years to Ernest Ferrero who managed the Safeway Store in Henryetta. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Wailes and Opal Wailes Moss, and her husband Ernest Ferrero in 2007. Wanda is survived by two daughters Judy Thomas & husband Danny of Henryetta; Linda Spurlock & husband Danne of Henryetta; two grandchildren, Shelley Williams & husband Brent of Morris; Chad Spurlock & wife Andrea of Okmulgee; Three great-grandchildren, Keeley & Kameron Hurd and Braxton Spurlock; As well as nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Viewing will from 1-8 p.m. Tuesday with family present to greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Diane Twist, officiating. A private committal will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
