Wanda Mae Williamson

December 23, 1946 — August 18, 2021

Wanda Mae Williamson (Lowe) - known as ‘Granny’ to many, was almost a Christmas
baby. She was born at her grandma Beaver's old house in Hanna, Oklahoma on
December 23, 1946 to Mandy Mae (Proctor) Lowe and Tommy Lowe. She
passed peacefully at her home on August18, 2021 at the age of 74.

Much of Wanda's younger years was spent being a tomboy, helping on her families farm. Her Uncle James told us that girl could sure run fast and be up a tree lickety split. He was chuckling to himself as he remembered this story. She liked hanging out with her brothers and uncles,
doing whatever they were doing and was faster than some at keeping up. She wasn’t
afraid to get dirty, she liked digging, playing in the mud, taking care of the animals, anything outdoors. As time went by she met her husband Richard in Oklahoma City and from this union 3 sons were born; Curtis, Richard, Jr and Gordon. After awhile she took a position in
Holdenville at the Kove plant making ice chests and water coolers and from there
she became a seamstress in Pharoah, OK which lasted about 3 years. After that she
spent several years as a nutritionist with the Hanna/Vernon Senior Citizens. Wanda loved to sew, making quilts for all and skirts for the girls to wear for dancing. She loved to camp and talked about her many years spent cooking and visiting with all that stopped by. No one left her camp hungry! She loved country music, westerns, Walker Texas Ranger, the movie Fried Green Tomatoes (which was on at least once a day, every day) but more than anything she loved her grandkids and great- grand kids. They were her world!

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Mandy Lowe; her husband,
Richard R. Williamson, Sr; two brothers - Eddie Lowe, Sr and Amos Lowe; sister-in- laws, Martha Lowe and Lucy Lowe; son Gordan 'Chip' Williamson and nephew's
Randy Lowe and Eddie Lowe, Jr.

Wanda is survived by two sons: Richard ‘Lulu' Williamson, Jr and wife Shelly of Eufaula and Curtis Williamson of Okmulgee; daughter-in-law, Belinda Wacoche of Hanna; one brother, Thomas Lowe of Hanna; one sister, Daria Hicks of Mason; one uncle, James Proctor of
Glenpool; eight grandchildren, Alisha Williamson (Kobe) of Hanna, Nicco
Williamson of Okmulgee, Timothy Williamson (Christyn) of Okmulgee,
Megain Williamson (Caleb) of Bixby, Zachary Williamson and Brandon Williamson, both of the home, Ariel Nason (Kyle) of Wewoka and Anjelika Williamson
(Aaron) of Wewoka. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren and many
nieces and nephew's all of whom she loved dearly.
