William Lee Tyler, a resident of rural Henryetta passed away Friday, March 11th, 2016 at his home at the age of 87. He was born February 26, 1929 in Memphis, Tennessee to Rolla Lee Tyler and Eva Mae (Decker) Tyler.
Mr. Tyler retired from Ford Motor Company in 1991 after forty years of service as a metal model maker which covered the clay models of concept cars. He has lived in the Henryetta are for the last twenty-five years.
He was a veteran of WWII serving with the United States Army. He was a member of the Okmulgee Masonic Lodge #199, Okmulgee Order of the Eastern Star #241, Henryetta Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #175, and Okmulgee Bedouin Shrine Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rolla Lee Tyler and Eva Mae Tuttle, a sister, Sandra Hickman, two brothers, Robert Tyler & Allen Tyler and also a granddaughter, Ginger Radar.
He is survived by three children, Cindy Tyler-Keener of Henryetta;
John Tyler and Joseph Zarazua of Detroit, Michigan;
Millie Massey and husband Terry of Leesville, South Carolina;
Two grandchildren, Nichole Massey Veasey & husband Garland of Westminster, South Carolina, Lee Tyler Massey of Leesville, South Carolina;
Two great grandchildren, Guy Radar of Henryetta & Shelby Radar of Henryetta;
Also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow in Salt Creek Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army and escorted by the Patriot Guard Riders. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
