William "Bill" W. Reddick, a longtime resident of Weleetka, passed away on Monday, December 30th, 2013 in Weleetka at the age of 68. Bill was born on August 12, 1945 in Los Angeles, California to Warren Hubert Reddick and Gretta Griffin Reddick. Bill grew up in Weleetka, attended Weleetka Public Schools, and graduated from Weleetka High School. Bill also studied electronics at Okmulgee Tech. Following high school Bill served in the U.S. Army for two years including a tour of duty in Viet Nam. Bill worked for Standard Oil for several years and later worked at John Deere as an industrial maintenance supervisor for 29 years, before retiring on December 31, 2001. Bill was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church in Weleetka. He closely followed the stock market each day and remained enthused about investing. Bill loved all outdoor sports and was an avid fisherman. Bill is preceded in death by his mother and his father. He is survived by his sister, Marsha Mayne of Weleetka; a brother, Joe Reddick and wife Darlene of Douglas, Wyoming; two daughters, Amanda Gilson and husband Brian of Houston, Texas and Rebecca Cook and husband Jon of Dewitt, Iowa; 2 grandchildren, Dustin Cook and Brianna Gilson; by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family; and many good friends. A memorial service for Bill will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in Weleetka with Rev. Marsha Salazar. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Crawley and Mike Griffin.
