William Joseph Teale III, a resident of Garland, Texas, passed from this life on Monday, July 25, 2016 in Okmulgee at the age of 76. Bill was born on April 4, 1940 in Galveston County, Texas to William Joseph Teale Jr. and Georgia Pearl Kinser Teale.
Bill grew up in Texas and attended High School at Texas City, Texas. Following high school, Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he faithfully served for over 20 years, including tours of duty in Viet Nam, before his retirement. Bill met the love of his life, Danita Sue White, and they were married on March 22, 1967 in Yuma, Arizona. They remained happily married for 36 years until her death in 2003. Bill worked briefly in Sherman, Texas for Texas Instruments. Bill returned to the Henryetta area and worked for approximately 20 years with the Schulter Public Schools System as a maintenance worker. He loved children, was an active member of the Henryetta Church of Christ, and was an avid Oklahoma Sooners fan. Bill enjoyed working in the garden and he was a longtime member of the Disabled American Veterans organization. Bill was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather and was loved by his friends and family.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother and father; a brother, Phillip Teale; an infant brother, Ricky D. Teale; and his wife, Danita.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Rowe and husband James of Garland, TX; a daughter, Megan White and fiance Cody Gasaway of Okmulgee, OK; a son, William J Teale, IV and wife Alisa of Fayetteville, NC; six grandchildren, Bailey Teale, Hannah Teale, and Samantha Teale, all of Fayetteville, NC, Trenton White, Milena White, and Waylon Gasaway of Okmulgee; by several nieces and nephews, other extended family, and many good friends.
Viewing for Bill will be held at Integrity Funeral Service on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 1pm until 8pm.
A memorial service for Bill will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2:00pm at the Henryetta Church of Christ with Rex Walcher officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at Salt Creek Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta.
