Willie M. Brownfield, 75 and a Henryetta resident, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 in Henryetta. She was born to Ewell Lance and Velma Kuykendall Martin in Ada, Oklahoma on December 12, 1933. Willie grew up with her family and lived in several eastern Oklahoma towns, graduating high school from Hartshorne High School. She worked for many years in the sewing industry. She spent her later years cross country driving with her husband Bill Joe. Willie was a member of the Hoffman Baptist Church. Willie is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edward Benedict who passed away in 1981 and her second husband, Billy Joe Brownfield who passed away in 2000. She is survived by 3 sons, William Edward Benedict of Collinsville, James Lee Benedict of Tulsa, and Stephen Wayne Benedict and wife Dayna of Hoffman; 1 brother, Ewell Lance and wife Loretta of Edmond; a sister, Mary Martin of Hominy; 3 grandchildren, James Lee Benedict, Jr., Tsianina Anne (Benedict) Dunzy and husband David, and Cody Wayne Benedict; two great grandchildren, Reese Dunzy and Sarah Dunzy; and a host of nieces and nephews and many good friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2009 at 2:00PM at Dewar First Baptist Church with Bro. Jack Vance officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Robert Kramer, Gary Clason, Steve Benedict, Cody Benedict, Bill Benedict, and Kyle Clason. Visitation will be held at Integrity Funeral Service from 2-8PM on Wednesday, and 8AM to 8PM Thursday.
