Willie Ray West

Willie "Ray" West, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Wednesday, August 06, 2014 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 93. He was born February 16, 1921 in Branch, Arkansas to Manley West & Willie (Goff) West. Ray married Virginia "Dink" Rhoades on July 4, 1942 in Hanna, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents, and 5 brothers and sisters. Ray is survived by his wife, Virginia "Dink" West of the home, one son, Jack West & wife Georjean of Owasso, four grandchildren, Cynthia Ogden & husband Paul of Clevedon, England, Stephen West of Johnstown, Colorado, Jason West of San Antonio, Texas, Brian West & Stephanie of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 6 great grandchildren, Meredith Smart of Dallas, Texas, Matthew Smart of Dallas, Ethan West of Johnstown, Colorado, Trevor West of Johnstown, Dylan West of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and Allison West of Glenwood Springs, one great-great grandchild, Kennedy Rae Palmer of Dallas, Texas, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Marvin Hammontree, James West, Eddie West, Buddy Pendley, Gary Carnes, and Shane Carnes. Honorary Pallbearers will be Frank Porter, Everett Prevett, Jack Keller, Ray Sullins, and Earl Freeman. Viewing will be held from 1pm-8pm on Friday, August 7, 2014 at Integrity Funeral Service. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Church of Christ in Henryetta with Rex Walcher, officiating. Interment will follow at Hanna Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
