Winey Beaver

September 7, 1948 — July 13, 2023

Winey Beaver, affectionately known as "Fvs'ke", passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023, in Morris, Oklahoma. Born on September 7, 1948, in Weleetka, OK, she was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Fvs'ke had a rewarding career as a Claims Examiner with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her dedication to her family. She was the proud mother of Sebrina Lee, Sharla Harjo, Selestene Lee, Lillian Beaver, and Sam Beaver III.

Fvs'ke was a woman of many passions. She loved the thrill of a good softball game, as far as her good heart, she was a feisty one on the ball field. The excitement of Bingo, and the simple joy of a Western movie were a big part of her life. She was a skilled cook, renowned for her peach cobblers and Indian Tacos. Winey also taught a cooking class at the College of the Muscogee Nation. More than anything, she cherished spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Remembered for her loving nature, generous spirit, and funny demeanor, Fvs'ke's legacy is one of love and laughter. She will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her loss is deeply felt, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched with her kindness and warmth.
