Woodrow Mcadoo Robinson

Woodrow M. Robinson 1919-2012 Woodrow McAdoo Robinson, a longtime resident of Henryetta, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in Tulsa at the age of 93. Woodrow was born on January 10, 1919 in Weleetka, Oklahoma to Frank J. Robinson and Maude Woods Robinson. Woodrow grew up in the Dustin area and attended Dustin schools. He married the love of his life, Helen Britt in 1942 in Hoffman, OK and remained married until her death. Woody was a longtime employee at Eagle Pitcher in Henryetta where he worked as a smelter operator for 26 years. He later worked for Okmulgee County and the City of Henryetta before retiring. He is preceded in death by his mother and father; a son, Woodrow F. Robinson; 4 brothers and 2 sisters; and one great grandchild. Woodrow is survived by his two sons, Don Robinson and wife Lois of Henryetta and Curtis Robinson and wife Cindy of Bow, New Hampshire; by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and host of extended family and many good friends. Viewing and visitation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Shurden Funeral Home from noon until 8pm. Funeral Services for Woodrow will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 2:00pm at the Schulter Assembly of God Church with Rev. Notchie Twist officiating. Interment will be held at Dustin Cemetery immediately following under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta.
